Boat Quay and the Fullerton Hotel

Monday, December 5

Today the Ewertz Sisters took the Singapore On/Off Bus Tour.  They left the apartment at 9, and I met them back at the apartment at 7.  They bought a 2 day pass, and had 3 different lines throughout the city and Sentosa Island.  They really enjoyed seeing the sights, and made it all the way through each line.  They had Satay for lunch and loved it!  Their bus tour was very informative, and they were able to tell me all sorts of things about Singapore when they were finished.

After work, I met the mom's back at the apartment, and we left for dinner in Boat Quay.  On Monday nights you can bargain with the restaurants on pricing, and drink specials.  Most of the restaurants serve a combination of Chinese, Thai and Seafood, so we picked based on the best deal.  We settled on a place that gave us 20% off the menu, and 2 rounds of drinks!  The mom's were also happy with the river view and our Singapore Slings!

After dinner we walked on the bridge on the river, and through the Central Business District.  It's so pretty at night with all of the lights, and the Christmas Decorations.

We then went to the Fullerton Hotel to walk around.  The Fullerton is right on the river, and used to be a post office until it was turned into a hotel in the early 2000's.  It is gorgeous, and even prettier now with the Christmas decorations.
