I left from the Marina Bay Sands for the airport. I met with two of my coworkers from Singapore at the airport, and we left for Shanghai for a week of meetings. We were meeting with the Rockwell Shanghai team, as well as my VP from North America, and 2 directors from NA.
The flight from Singapore to Shanghai is about 5 1/2 hours. I literally slept the first 2 hours, ate lunch (fish and rice), and watched a movie (The Help). It was a great flight, and actually seemed really short.
We arrived in Shanghai on Monday at 4 p.m., took a cab to our hotel, checked in, and met for dinner. We walked to dinner, and decided to have a nice meal, so we walked to the closest mall. Shanghai is a huge city, very loud, crowded and busy.
We had a traditional Chinese dinner, where 1 person orders, and we share everything that is brought to the table. I ordered a Pepsi light, and to open the can, it was a pull tab. Kindof interesting!
After dinner, we walked around the mall, went to a grocery store, and headed back to the hotel.
