Bintan, Indonesia

Mary and I left for Bintan on Friday, November 4. It is a 45 minute ferry ride from Singapore to Bintan, Indonesia.  While waiting in line at customs for our Visa upon arrival, an official came over to Mary and I, took us through the "back door" and expedited our Visas.  We are not sure why, but we think it saved us about 30 minutes of waiting in line!  Our bags went through "security" and we had our Visas!  We took a bus from the ferry to the hotel.  Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with drinks... starting the trip off on a great note :)

We ate dinner, had a few margaritas, and then went to the Disco.  We met 2 Irish men that were also living/working in Singapore.  They were interesting, and we had fun talking to them, and exchanging stories about Singapore. 

Saturday morning, we laid out by the pool and beach all day, and just relaxed. It was much needed!!  We ate lunch, and took the ferry back at 6p.m.  Bintan is an hour behind Singapore, so we lost an hour on our way home, but we were happy to have that extra hour of laying in the sun!

At the swim up bar waiting for the drink we ordered that was served in a Watermelon.  They do all the prep work right in front of you - AWESOME!

One of the prettiest/ nicest beaches I have ever been too.  The sand was so soft, and the water was warmer then the pool water.
